This is to chronicle the start of a writing journey. In three days I'll be starting my own, self inflicted, writing torture. It will be both magnificent and painful. I hope. Every day I'll write to a new prompt and hopefully get to branch out of comfort zone! While I've always been a story teller, I want to keep myself accountable outside of NaNoWriMo or whatever class I'm taking.
So here it is. Rae. Serving herself up to the writing gods in the hopes of more gifts. There will be tears. There will be frustration. There might even be blood, though I hope it's not my own. Some notes about me on this starting day:
I'm Rachel. Rae for short. I'm 25, 26 in August. I live in New Hampshire with my boyfriend (it's a recent move in. I feel very grown up and that worries me). I love musicals, fantasy stories, and music. I love to write POC, LGBTQA+ characters and I wish I saw more of that as the norm instead of some shocking plot device. I'm short. I love to bake, color, and knit, to relax. Though not all together. I wish I was that talented. I work with kids on the spectrum in a high school and adore my job but my dream has always been to publish a novel. I've been sending my novel out to agents and now I need something to keep me fresh.
